  1. managing the event and the related activities and communications
  2. using tracking pixels to ensure the correct receipt of e-mails (so-called deliverability), to combat spam, for formatting requirements and statistical purposes, to report phishing activity, and to send service communications

  3. The purposes referred to in point 4, “Source of data and purposes of processing”, are pursued through electronic processing that separates the information identifying the data subject from the remaining information and results in anonymous reports: it will no longer be possible to link the data back to the person to whom they refer.
  4. Tracking pixels are used in the e-mails sent for purely administrative, statistical and security purposes. Tracking pixels cannot be installed if image downloading is disabled.

  3. For the purposes referred to in point 3, “Source of data and purposes of processing”, the legal basis is the legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, Recital 47 GDPR and Opinion 6/2014 of 9 April 2014 of the Article 29 Working Party, para. III.3.1) of Azione contro la Fame in having at its disposal contacts who have shown an interest in its institutional activities, balanced against the interest of the person in receiving communications about projects and initiatives which they have shown they appreciate by registering for the event.
  4. For the purposes referred to in point 4, “Source of data and purposes of processing”, the legal basis is the legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, Recital 47 GDPR and Opinion 6/2014 of 9 April 2014 of the Article 29 Working Party, para. III.3.1) of Azione contro la Fame in knowing the level of participation in its projects and events and in planning its activities to promote its causes and develop its charitable work.

The need to request the above data as mandatory has been assessed in compliance with the requirements of Art. 25 GDPR (“Data protection by design and by default”), which require the prior assessment of appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to implement data protection principles, such as data minimisation, in an effective manner and to integrate the necessary safeguards into the processing in order to meet the requirements of the GDPR and protect the rights of data subjects.
